Rule 2 - Differentiate between real hunger and a craving next »
We have a natural ability to know when we are really hungry, but have lost this sense due to the Western lifestyle.
Rule 2 is about re-tuning your natural senses and stopping the cravings. Before you eat something unhealthy - ask yourself this; are you really hungry or is it something which you just like the taste of and you are just craving it. Maybe you are eating out of routine and you would feel a void if you didn't eat it?
To assist you - give your hunger a score out of 10 and anything under 5, you know is probably just a craving. But don't give everything a 10, just so you can eat. To keep things in perspective; think back to a time when you were the hungriest ever and give this a score on the same scale (you have to use the same scale, you can't give this occasion a 20).
This rule could be the hardest to master, yet potentially the most useful of them all.
